I like Google because I can search anything and click on the news tab to see news articles from various outlets. If I want to read The New York Times, I can search for the media outlet on Google and find its newest article. I recommend Google as a source for searching for information. It quickly gives you the information you are looking for from various sources. You can also search Google Scholar and get peer-reviewed articles about the subject you are looking for.
I consider Apple News a great source for information because I use Apple products like an iPhone, and it's already on my device. I can simply swipe to the left, and it shows me what's trending in the news and the top stories. If you go to the app, there is a section called "For You" that shows articles you are interested in based on what you read. It is easy to use and a good way to get the news and articles. When you want to know what's happening in the world, I recommend picking up your phone and going to Apple News to see what's trending and what the top news stories are.
I use YouTube every day, and it is a great source of information because there are many well-researched videos on multiple topics, plus short informational videos that quickly explain a topic. YouTube has plenty of documentary-style content that can provide good information for personal and school projects. I mainly use YouTube to learn more about a topic like evolution, as a simple search gives me plenty of long- and short-form videos. I also use it to learn more about my college subjects, especially when the professor assigns videos for class. I recommend YouTube for learning interesting facts about a subject or picking up new skills.
X is a platform that I use every day to get my information on what's happening in the world. I have used X for years, and I constantly doomscroll to learn new information each day about what's happening in the real world. I also use X to see what's happening in the gaming industry, politics, and new developments in tech. X has a page that provides a list of tabs on trending topics, news, sports, and entertainment. After I see what's new on X, I go online to take a deeper dive into the new information I find interesting, and I always double-check to see where the news stories and comments get their sources. I would recommend X as a source to gain information on a topic you are interested in, but since it is social media, I recommend double-checking to make sure that the information is credible.
Instagram is a great source for news, and it is easy, quick, and simple, like many other social media platforms. I use Instagram mainly to look at sports, news about upcoming films, and events at High Point University. I follow many main HPU accounts of clubs I am in to see what new events are happening on campus. I also use Instagram to see what's new in MMA, and I follow ESPN to see what matches are upcoming. Overall, I enjoy Instagram because of its ease of use and algorithm, which gives me posts that I'm interested in. Instagram has a similar problem to X, in that it is a social media platform that suffers from misinformation. I recommend following Instagram to stay up to date on campus events and gain information on upcoming sports news, as long as you double-check the sources.
